$16 Million Contract Award Largest in Alliant Healthcare Products’ History

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Sept. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Alliant Healthcare Products recently received the largest single order in the company’s 13-year history. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs placed an initial $10.9 million order as part of a $16 million 5-year contract for high tech endoscopes used in surgical procedures for veterans. The technology is based on Olympus’ Evis Exera III platform that allows hospitals to integrate endoscopes used for high definition video, ultrasonic imaging, and 3D surgical images on a single system throughout the entire hospital.  “These are the most advanced diagnostic tools available for veteran care,” according to Eric Albery, Director of Marketing for Alliant Healthcare.

The order came through the VA’s Midwest Healthcare Network covering nine hospitals in five Midwest states. “This purchase exceeds any single order we’ve had since I started the company,” says Bob Taylor, company owner and CEO. “The purchase is part of our newly introduced Patriot Promise™ program which is designed to provide our nation’s veterans with the best medical technology available.”

Taylor, a former Major in the US Air Force, created the Patriot Promise in order to ensure gaps in technology don’t exist between commercial hospitals and hospitals treating veterans. “The key focus of the Patriot Promise is to make sure our war fighters get the best treatment possible whether it’s with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools or the most advanced mental care for Post Traumatic Stress.”

Alliant Healthcare provides the government with access to numerous high tech medical companies with products ranging from state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, to robotic cardiology devices, to amniotic tissues for treating diabetic foot ulcers. “Alliant Healthcare is one of the most respected companies in the industry, providing unrivaled support and knowledge to our partners and government customers,” says Albery. “Our value is to help integrate technology for the government and to assist our partners in navigating the complex federal procurement process.”
