Position Purpose: Responsible for ensuring that all operational and financial performance goals are met for the company’s contracts; develop and execute a measurable sales contract strategy; develop and maintain exceptional levels of client management/business relationships with key decision makers and influencers for each target account. The scope of this position will include all National accounts including Government and GPO organizations, spanning Federal, state and local government entities, and non-government commercial accounts.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strategy to drive Partner Government Sales
  • Establish relationship with Partner Sales Team in order to forecast future opportunities and effectively guide sales representatives through the government sales process
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective business relationships with, and serve as, principal contractual point of contact with, government, and commercial customers
  • Interface with government and/or customers and provide guidance to the Contracting Officer’s procurement team on contractual matters
  • Serve as the principal point of contact for all contractual sales matters related to GSA, FSS, DAPA, and other multiple US Government procurement regulations between field force representatives and customer procurement personnel
  • Develop, execute, and maintain processes and systems to ensure accurate and timely tracking of all contract accounts and opportunities
    Be a VA and DoD subject matter expert
  • Research, monitor and submit bids for all contractual opportunities through the continual monitoring of the FBO process, Blanket Purchase Agreements, IDIQ, and National Standardization Agreements

 

Experience and Education

  • Bachelors degree in Business or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Prior successful sales experience a plus
  • Extensive experience working with VA and DoD customers
  • Thorough working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), CAS, other FAR supplements, all provisions, terms and conditions of government contract documentation
  • Strong work experience with DAPA, GSA and FSS Schedules and/or state and local government contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex contracting regulations; ability to apply to commercial and military sales
  • Government contracting experience in both the public and private sectors is highly desired
